My castle, My home
doTb where asked to produce an installation for the festival Supersonic in July 2006, doTb bought a wreaked car from an auto dealer and then painted the car with matt blackboard paint, covering every part of the car their aim was to have it a tagging post for any comments on the festival and the piece, chalk and pens where left alongside the car to encourage the public to have their say, inside the car where lights, smoke machine and a specially prepared sound piece, this was all pointed up towards the open sunroof, the sound piece was extremely dense and piercing frequencies all designed to travel through the empty vessel and create the feeling of a just landed UFO, also My castle,My home was a play on how the phycology of our cars effects us, how once inside we feel protected and the car becomes an extension of our homes.
